Compared to GoW, Halo 3, and several other games that are already old, Avatar was rather lacking...

the only way games based on movies sell is in the light of the movie... the only exception I can think to this rule is Goldeneye

Yah, I know that, but why release it so close (and I think it came out before the movie, or was it the same time?) to the movie? Why not, wait a bit.

And I could see from the trailers. So sad, as the movie was great in the visual aspect, and this just seems... disgraceful to it.

Avatar is soooo popular. It's the highest grossing film, it's got amazing special effects etc etc. So anything that popular is naturaly going to get some negativity and or get someone saying it's racist or something. People love to hate on things that are extremely popular.

Did you know that there were people who said District 9 was racist too.

Seriousness: All the action scenes were pretty intense so I liked those.

I'm not really looking forward to a sequel to Avatar. I mean, when the Sky People return with a real army, the Na'vi are going to get their asses kicked. The buggers could even take down a small mining task force with the help of several traitors and a handful of advanced weapons. The entire animal populace of Pandora had to intervene at the last moment just to save their asses. I can't imagine things will go any differently in any sequels.

Also I agree with Rasq. I haven't even seen it yet. But from what I have seen, it looks like a prequel would be better suited for it.
