Re: Avatar movie
I dont like the overuse of animations in movies and green screens, but if it has a good story then I might watch it.

I don't know if I could ever be interested in this movie after sitting through what felt like HOURS of James Cameron going on and on about how amazing it's going to be at the Ubisoft E3 conference.

Re: Avatar movie
Well the guy did make Terminator 1+2 and Aliens, which are some of the best sci-fi movies of all time.
But he also made Titanic.......
So it could go either way.

Re: Avatar movie
Besides being one of the most famous movies of all time...
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how it will be in ACTUAL 3d (it will have depth as opposed to being a couple of 2d images that pop out at you) which is new to the industry...

Re: Avatar movie
Could be that they are landing on a planet with air as dense as Titan, meaning that rotary blades would actually propel the ship out of the atmosphere.Kasrkin Seath wrote:erm, for some reason I dont think thats a fucking space ship you dumb fuck. Wait... it's THAT Avatar? He's wanted to do this ever since Titanic!ReconToaster wrote:I don't know if I could ever be interested in this movie after sitting through what felt like HOURS of James Cameron going on and on about how amazing it's going to be at the Ubisoft E3 conference.
It has to be good... If it isn't, he'll be crushed! We'll lose the best director in Hollywood!

And once out of atmosphere they would no longer work. So its not a space ship since it doesn;t work in space.

A great deal.
3 hours just so we can have a teen romance movie. Where you see nothing of the bravery or sacrifices made by the crew as it sank.

Would you believe that the Beavis & Butthead movie was once the film that brought in the most money at the box office on it's opening weekend?
It's true! Then a couple weeks later Titanic came out and kicked it off it's throne. Damn Titanic...
But whatever, looking forward to this Avatar movie.

well, avatar the movie is still the last airbender. how i know this? the first trailer released shows OBVIOUS fire nation airships as well as shows Ang airbending.
so despite the fact the newest trailer shows blue monsters running around, its still the last airbender.

Bravery and Sacrifice? Letting women and children go first? They didn't have much choice but to be brave. The captain locks himself in the bridge in shame.
The only real bravery that was in the movie was that part when the guys playing the violins start to go their separate ways, but end up joining each other once more, and playing as the ship goes down.
I like the movie. Admittedly, I sometimes just skip through to the end... but watching it always makes an impact on me. I always just sit there thinking "fuck! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE UNSINKABLE!"
Speaking of which, have you ever read the wikipedia page on the Titanic? One of the nearby ships saw the flares that the Titanic was launching... and despite being concerned DIDN'T BOTHER WAKING UP THEIR RADIO OPERATOR!
Imagine being that guy. Imagine knowing that you could have saved over one thousand people, BUT NOBODY WOKE YOU UP!
