Halo 4

Anyways, I haven't seen much of the Mantis but it appears to be a thin-skinned but high damage vehicle.

As great as previous Halos? Can't say yet, but all of the CoD-like additions don't make it seem promising. However, I'd say it's still a fair bit more than a generic sci-fi shooter.

It's got armor and shields. From what I hear, it's not overpowered, but it can go toe-to-toe with a tank.

Story is an important game qualification, but certainly not the only one. Besides, Halo 4's story doesn't look particularly shallow to me, especially considering how most players will not have read any of the books.

Which I have to do still. I'll play the story with a friend or something. I probably won't buy it though, unless the flood multiplayer mode is really kick ass.

I agree. I always thought it should be actual Flood.

However, those are kinda eh. Hopefully other types are there too.

If there's one thing you shouldn't re-design, it's the flood. They were perfect!

Forge mode video.

So the new Forge world map is on the moon? Kind of mixed feelings from that to be honest.

It seems more like there are many different Forge maps, with different palettes for each. I saw a cave map, a canyon map, and this asteroid map.

I believe they said there were 3 different forge world style maps that were going to be shipped with the game.

Shipped with the game no longer carries any meanings, Lots of Discs ship with maps but you need to buy the game new or buy DLC to 'unlock' them

they said 3 forge maps, not 3 forge worlds. big difference.

sandbox was a forge map

forge world was well.... forge world

Forge maps. Fine by me, if that means that we're not limited to dull gray boxes planted haphazardly across the same meadows.

I saw most of what they talked about in that video in another with Rooster Teeth, and one of the maps is a pure Forge World while I think the others are specific in design. Was that map I saw there the one with the stalactites from Halo 2? I do hope so...


And it appears Blood Gulch might come back as a separate area.
