It sort of sounds like an AK-47 in the Vidoc

They should splice the old Assault rifle sound, with a real weapon sound from Bad Company, so it sounds a little bit science fiction, a little bit realistic afro

I want the old AR back, I could fire at an unmoving target ten feet away and miss it with half the clip and still feel badass. Razz

They don't claimed they don't want to alienate people that play the game for splitscreen single and multiplayer. Apparently they can give a shit less about alienating people who actually care about Halo canon.

I don't know, I really can't judge the story all that much, but given Bungie already stated they're probably going to dissapoint hardcore fans, I think this project wont end well.

The graphics look nice though...

I'd pay for Halo:CE except with new missions.

it would be better with a few of the features from 2 and 3 (def not all of them)

but it would still be good

Graphics shouldn't matter (but they do, so I won't bother) with a games overall appeal. Hell, I still play games for the gameboy that came out years ago.

I liked CE's graphics, but I do wish Halo: Reach would have the same level of great story WITH great graphics, but that's too much to ask for in a developing company I suppose.

Notice, I didn't say "same story of halo CE"

I said "same level of great story"

In retard terms, a story AS GOOD as CE, not the same.

Where did I ever say it was the same as Halo CE? I said (sarcastically) that we (you) already know the story of the game, because, you know, you're such a big fan, you can take all the little things they've given you and already know the story.

If you could point out where I said it was the same as Halo CE please do so.

In retard terms: READ

Wasn't it you who linked us to a page that specifically said that Bungie would dissapoint hardcore fans storywise?

It WAS you! So yeah, i'm basing my assumptions off that and what we've already seen in the advertisement. I do suppose I read that wrong Razz

Still right though, not that any less was expected Razz
But really, i'd be genuinely suprised if anyone has any REAL hope in this games story.

I never said via storywise. The article said hardcore fans would disappointed with some choices, but pleased with some others. Then again, hardcore fans are never pleased. Also, you know what happens when you assume. It makes an ass|u.

And why not have hope for the campaign? Besides the little tid bits we have been given, and the little "from the begging you knew the end" we basically know nothing of the campaign.

And why assume it's good? Bungie's games have steadily decreased in their ability to deliver good stories. With their taking sides with 343 studios, the people who brought you all that's bad about halo, I can't really be to optimistic about this game.

Besides, it makes more sense to believe it'll be shit when it releases. Then if it is, you've lost nothing, if it isn't, you've gained something.

Thinking it'll be good will just get your hopes up only to be crushed. Then again, i'm talking to the same people who liked halo legends. And with that statement, I don't think you can judge whether the story will be good or not.

I would also point out that what we know about the battle of Reach is actually rather limited. What's sad about that is that Bungie couldn't even stick to the very basic handful of facts we know about Reach, and instead had to tell all the novels to fuck off because Bungie doesn't want to be BFFs anymore, because they have a new BFF, 343 Studios, and he doesn't like the novels.

There has been little to no conflict with the novels beyond the Spartan armour, which is somewhat explained by Emile being totally fucking insane.

Beyond that, i don't see any other huge canon infractions.
