Re: Modern Warfare 3
REALLY ACTIVISION?
that makes zero sense, they know they need a compelling story for something like that right? not a community that only comes for Multiplayer.
i predict it will fail.

Why do you need a compelling story? It would only fail because Call of Duty doesn't attract a hardcore multiplayer crowd, being casualized beyond all reckoning.

that's what i've seen with these kind of thing, not really need a compelling story just a deep canon or have people that are committed, like what they do with Warhammer 40k.
i wouldn't say Call of Duty's community is committed, if it was airsoft or paintball it would be something to look into. wait did it say paintball? besides most people won't like to hear speakers or the developers, just see the game.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
Story does not draw hardcore players any more than good multiplayer does, especially competitive. Look at some big games, Starcraft, Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, are all multiplayer-driven (sure Starcraft and Halo have good stories, but they are mainly popular because of multplayer). A good, competitive game can last just as long as a good story games, and the fans will be just as rabidly delusional.Vtrooper wrote:TNine wrote:???Vtrooper wrote:REALLY ACTIVISION?

The one thing that stands out is that it isn't a money making thing. Which is odd for Activision....

For now NT, for now.
Probably a test run to see how well it does.
They may be trying to copy their partners at Blizzard and make their own Blizzcon

2. You forgot Team Fortress 2
3. I thought Black Ops' story was actually half-way decent

can i get that in 90x90?
i agree Civ, Black Ops was half decent, but i feel people will think this is something its not, that's the thing.
but it may be funny watching CoD fans rage over this.

Resizing animated images is very difficult workVtrooper wrote:can i get that in 90x90?

I don't know what you're smoking... or what sort of program you're using for that matter... but I know it's incredibly difficult with any image editing program I've ever used.KristallNacht wrote:lol resizing animated images is just as easy as resizing nonanimated ones

Re: Modern Warfare 3
I imagine it would just be a matter of resizing every separate image to the same size, then have them go in the same order as usual. Of course, I don't know squat about animations.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
Well, I feel I should be the one to say we are getting off topic.
So they are going to have the multiplayer reveal at that convention apparently. I think that's a bad idea.
