Darn... I figured it would be Modern W4rfare

The voice actor for Modern Warfare protagonist Captain Price, coincidentally named Bill Murray, revealed to ThisIsXbox that he’s getting ready to meet with Infinity Ward next week to talk about Modern Warfare 4. Apparently Murray was blissfully unaware that the man he was speaking with on a recent flight was actually a video game journalist, because he prematurely let the cat of the bag by confirming Infinity Ward’s next project.

No one expected a new Modern Warfare?

I could have put money down somewhere that they would make another one and made a fucking fortune.

I seriously can't see how they could continue it.

My theory was they'd pull a crossover and have Price somehow die in blops 2. Guess not.

I'm not surprised about a new Modern Warfare, i'm surprised we know about it before this years Call of Duty is out.

so is the long title Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 4? Because the CoD4 moniker carries over as long as its subtitle never resets?

Again, not a big surprise.

I believe they've taken to numbering them regardless of the moniker, so this will be Call of Duty 10: Modern Warfare 4. This is almost as convoluted as Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam.

but vietnam was also an expansion, so it's allowed to be convoluted.

They should call it Modern War4 to be all meta and gay like that.

I recommend tacking on another subtitle.

Honestly, at this point I don't know where they can go with a Modern Warfare 4. From what transpired in 2 and 3, the story reached a conclusion (Makarow dead, War against Russia ended, all main characters in the series dead with the sole exception of Captain Price.)

They'd have to set it a fair stretch after 3(Which defeats the idea of calling it 'Modern Warfare') and I don't think they could fall back on Evil Russians again as after 3, neither country could fight another global conflict.

My guess: something akin to 'robot nazis from mars'
