Write up a convincing complaint letter/petition against the whole helmet thing so we can nip it in the bud NOW! before we see chief with tattoos (or some shnit) all over his face in the next game...

As proof, I offer Firefly, Invader Zim, Uwe Boll, and every other online petition.

Re: Halo: Reach
your missing one that DID work
Chuck was going to be pulled due to low viewership.... they got a million people to sign an online petition that kept the show on the air

Re: Halo: Reach
Yeah Rasq, it does work, it happened with the voice actors of Futurama as I provided in my rebuttal...
You just gotta believe that it will work, but I guess it not working is better then not trying at all, watching Halo degenerate into some... I DON'T KNOW WHAT.

We... Are... NOT... going to get one million signatures.KrAzY wrote:your missing one that DID work

And Serenity was, IIRC, due more to Joss Whedon's ball-swinging than the petitions.
We've got maybe twenty out of twenty three on this forum who give an aerial fornication, but the percentages drop off around other forums. And you can't just dismiss everyone who's okay with the skull as "prepubescant 13-year-olds" because there's other, rather intelligent Halo fans out there who are more-or-less okay with it.
So go ahead, start it up yourselves and I'll add my signature, but I've got other projects that need my attention.
And another thing. Quit being negative.
Take it from someone who has experience, getting down too hard on something's flaws will prevent you from enjoying the good aspects of something.
So accept the good, do what you can about the bad, and try and tell the difference between the two.

I wasn't saying that we should do it... I was presenting a counter argument to your claim that all online petitions fail

Re: Halo: Reach
My negativity is aptly warranted, it has been disappointment after disappointment with halo...
So why should we just stop caring or be complacent to the subtle changes that end up as huge differences in the end?

Re: Halo: Reach
Also, Star Trek was brought back by popular demand, and more recently Family guy has survived multiple cancellations due to fan demand.
Though not all petitons work, but they definately have some pulling power, and if your that set on this guy's mask, you stand a air chance of being noticed by Bungie, as they are more hands-on with their community than most studios are.
Though to be honest all this ado about a fucking mask is beyond me.

I would mention many discrepancies in the section I would have in the petition, the idea is that everyone gives their own sentiments along with a final tally.
Remember, the sooner we get this done the better, I am sure they would be more likely to listen to us now then a day before release.

Re: Halo: Reach
Look, I think it's stupid, but to be honest, there's very little anyone can do about it.
We don't even know the story, or what Emilie is really like. Bungie did redeem themselves somewhat with ODST.
Until the Beta I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Halo: Reach
It's not a game play thing at all though, it is completely separate from when you are in FPS mode fighting off hordes of Covenant.
I doubt my opinion on the matter will change when the demo comes out. If Emile turns out to be some biker punk with spiked hair and earings, then that is something we should bring to their attention before they release the demo!
Bungie is not the largest company in the world...
So, getting them to change what their doing is probably not as hard as one might think.

FO: We literally don’t have any targets other than we will hire who we need to hire for projects as they come online. Right now we have about 120 full-time staff.

Obviously it is when people have been trying change the views of just a few in this thread.

Yeah, but these people are very like minded, and it's likely only a few will make decisions like removing that helmet scratch.

But, as I will point out again, it is VERY hard to change one's opinion. Especially one's who are working on the said issue.

Re: Halo: Reach
First one is explainable (Am I the ONLY one whose read Halo:Evolutions here? Come ON!) and the second one was inevitable. Whereas I would prefer to keep Hayubashi as a non-canon armor, other kinds (like the EVA and the Recon) make sense.Offensive Bias wrote:I thought they'd be more focused on the fucking Spartan 3's on Reach... and the Spartan 2 armour variations... The only one that looks REALLY bad (and not because of the paint) is Emile.

Eva then?
Recon looks weird, even the shoulder pads have these little metal bits sticking straight up.

Re: Halo: Reach
Personally, I don't get why they didn't just use Gamma Company instead of Alpha. I mean, we have 300 Spartan-IIIs from Gamma that deployed in early 2551 that are completely unaccounted for, and they decide to use Alpha?
