Is he? I don't know. But yeah everyones got strategy to buying games. Me? Most of my friends like the same games I do, so I'm lucky that I can just borrow the game and give a try. Plus I do the same for them. It's rental but doesn't cost a thing.

Sergent Johnson's interrogation isn't the legendary ending... thats the normal epilogue



in the end I enjoyed the game... but some sections were far too drawn out... or plain just missed the mark of fun... one being in the tunnel when theres like 30 brutes and drones... and another being that completely unnessacary "escort the car" mission that just progressively got "harder" and more boring...


getting spammed with 30 banshees and 50 ghosts at once isn't fun... it wasn't fun when you did it on halo 2... itwasn't fun when you did it on halo 3... and it certainly isn't fun when your health drops to zero after 7 hits from the ghost.... when you are in a fuckin scorpion...


I was disappointed by the lack of BR's.... and confused by the appearence of the MA5C... this happened simultaneously with halo 2... the MA5C shouldn't have been there and the BR should have been in high production...


also... why were there no elites? the elites didn't split from the covenant for like a week-2 weeks after this game takes place (not sure how long they were in slipspace to delta halo)... I saw 1 dead one in the entire game

thats a gameplay decision, just like bringing the AR back in halo 3 was

if you had a BR, you wouldn't use the automag or the silenced SMG now would you?

just like in halo 3 they had noticed that in halo 2 on games you started with the BR it was all about headshots, and games you started with the SMG it was all about duel wield. thats the reason they brought the AR back for halo 3, to make the game more universally balanced.

we had a nifty low light system... but they could still all see as clear as day... hit me with their guns from a half mile in pitch blackness


they were supposed to have built in using shadows for cover since halo 2...

Just got the game yesterday and I agree with everything Krazy said so far, except for the enjoying it bit. I don't know what everyone else thinks but it doesn't feel like a Halo game. Not once have I felt excited going into a fight. The tone of the game is just set way down.

AJ, I'd suggest waiting for a major price drop if you can't borrow it from anyone. Luckily I got mine for $70 (Australian).

I'm going to do that, I am either going to loan it off my friend/Video store, or if people are still playing it in about the time when the price is dropped then might I will buy it since it also includes the Mythic map pack.

Sounds good. I'm yet to play Firefight so don't base your decision solely on what I say.
If you're going to pay money to rent it then I suggest buy it from EB. Just take it back at the end of the week.

The waves of covenant enemies flanking me on heroic while i run as fast as i can from the 4 brute chieftains. Im not kidding either, there's 2 fuel rod and 2 gravity hammer chieftains at the end of each round. With like 30 jump pack brutes spamming spike grenades, on heroic...... and you cannot use turret on security zone... damn those wraiths are accurate.


I think they've made some improvements from halo 3, the brutes are stronger and take back some of their qualities from halo 2 (raging and a few other things). Though im disappointed at the lack of elites in the game. There's some in game but there all in banshee's >.> I think. I love the stealth aspect, but those covenant do spot you to easily. All in all I would rent it.

Well, I finally beat the game and was able to read this thread without fearing spoilers. I must say, the campaign was much longer than I expected and I had a blast playing it. I thought it was at least as good, if not better than Halo 3. The twist was also pure epicness.

Yah, I missed the BR a little, but I think having it might have just made it too easy. Brutes are much funner when it takes an entire clip just to take off it's shields. As for the sneaking, I'm not sure where you were playing, KrAzY, but I ran into a jackal from the front in a dark street before it even noticed me... and before I noticed it. The visor helps.
