Empire Total War

They conquered Scandanavia. they defeated the Russian Empire countless times, and even got far enough into europe to invade poland. They ALMOSt pulled off their dream of a baltic empire. But they were crushed by the Russians in the end.

your correct. The Swedes gave Czar Peter the Great hell. It took him 25 years to push the Swedes out of Europe and back into finland.

I'm getting the demo, do we know a release date though?

For the demo? No. I've been checking everyday. when it's released I'll post it. As for the game, March 4th.

I signed up for the SEGA thing that you apparently need for the demo(or something like that) I hadn't seen a release date, I was just wondering.

Ideas for new strategies an tactics anyone?

Bayonet Charge!!!!!! I'll probably have a good amount of musketeers with a cavalry escort with a cannon battery. But that's all your getting from me for right now.

I have secured necessary funds to purchase this game! Unfortunately, I won't be able to but it on Steam. I went and traded in Fallout 3, (which I plan to re-buy for PC someday) Fable 2, and Gears 2.

I wanted cash, but it would only be $50. With store credit, I got $90.

I almost used the extra cash to pickup Farcry 2 while I was there... but I held off.

I just saw how cover worked in the new german video, it looks amazing. Basically units don't just get behind cover and receive a universal defense bonus like most games, but the cover actually blocks the bullets instead.

Realistic cover in an RTS eh? So uh.... how terribly is this thing gonna run on my computer....

Well, odviously the British will be widely involved with the Marathans making an appearance as the latest playable faction.

The game is made by a British company, so I'm not sure if they'd be too keen on putting that in...

It is, but it's a separate campaign. In the regular campaign map, it is very possible for the American NPC faction to revolt from the British. Of course, the British have the chance of crushing the colonies, and you could even go and help out the Americans, and weaken the British.
