As a non American, a large portion of your country appears to be stupid and insane. Also, if Trump is going full protectionist that could hurt the Canadian dollar so I'd have to pay even more for stuff when I already got fucked with oil crashing causing 30% price jumps on things, and it could hurt my chances of getting a job across the border in the near future.

Depending on how much Trump destroys, you might have a decent base to fix your country if you get a decent president in 4 years (eg. a not fucked healthcare system, seeing as you already spend around the same public funds per capita of most western countries with socialized healthcare systems, maybe realize climate change is real and going back to coal isn't a good choice, or that the manufacturing jobs aren't coming back).

The only potentially good things I can see coming out of this are if Trump manages to reduce corruption and lobbying, and if Hillary goes to jail and the DNC pulls their heads out of their asses for long enough to fix their own corruption issues.

With the Democrats basically eliminated from all three branches of federal government and most state governments, I wonder what the excuses will be when 8% GDP growth doesn't happen, when the manufacturing jobs don't come back, and when health insurance costs increase even faster with decreasing coverage. How many people are going to recognize those things as lies, not just from Trump, but any politician promising those?

Sound economic policy doesn't resonate with voters, because sound economic policy is going to be a radical departure from current policy and it's going to hurt.

Trump as president leaves me with little hope for the future. I feel the nation and world is in or nearing a state such that the US could easily have it's power checked by other rising powers and we just elected a buffoon who wishes to weaken our alliances and treaties and who also has virtually no coherent domestic policies.
