Well, if it's any consolation, P, I doubt Nylund will write anything for Bungie ever again. I get this feeling there's some resentment between the two, considering how they butchered his novels for no reason while making Halo Reach.

Most of it was concept art anyway, Its on the drawing board i wouldn't expect anything Solid unless they plan to show something off at E3

Given that is most going to be on next gen consoles, and it isn't a Microsoft exclusive anymore, we may see it tonight at the PS4 event. What better way to show off your new console, than with a developer you wouldn't expect? It also helps Bungie shake off their Xbox past.

It sounds like the plot to a narrative. Bungie, now free from its ex-lover microsoft decides to show off its good to its new hubby, Sony.

But it has an on-and-off thing with microsoft at the same time.

So far, all we've seen is a bunch of concepts and dreams... but if there's one developer who has a history of making games which live up to those dreams, it's Bungie.

Also, they may have outrageous visions for their games but they also know exactly where they want to go; I suspect this is why Bungie has had some trouble connecting their own stories with those of other authors.

Is what Bungie wants really what I want? I'm not entirely sure yet. I've seen a few things about this game which make me cautious, but there has also been plenty to be excited about if it all comes to fruition. We'll just have to wait and see what comes of this.

Still, despite all the "I wont get excited until I see more" in this thread, it's obvious people here are excited for it. The activity in this thread is higher than any other at TCF since... well... Halo: Reach.

The next gen arms race has only just begun (sorry nintendo), we'll have to wait until June to find out what the real competition has to present for us.

Microsoft has had it pretty easy thus far, but the PS4 seems like it could compete with the next gen xbox pretty seriously. Who knows, there's still a LOT to reveal for both sides of this conflict.

It's also too early to be taking sides I think, unless you already know you're going with one or the other.

I like that weapons have names to them like "The Thorn". Gives them a personality and makes them feel more personal to your character.
