I think this sums up everyone's thoughts pretty well.

Not an Elder Scrolls fan, but it's a pretty good-looking MMO.

Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
shouldn't that just be called "introduction to another generic mmo that no one is going to play"?

I agree. A pretty good looking MMO.Rasq'uire'laskar wrote:Not an Elder Scrolls fan, but it's a pretty good-looking MMO.

It'll take more than being better than WoW for me to care, though. I'm really not a big fan of the classes, meta game, and lack of interactive objects. It just seems to have lost many of the FUN aspects of Elder Scrolls games.

Anything could make a good MMO if done right, except for maybe first person shooters.

So far, it's my favorite of all MMOs.
Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
Well, that.
I meant something based on an FPS, like a COD or a Halo MMO, maybe. You could probably have a Planetside-style Halo or COD MMO all the same, I guess there really isn't a limit on it, a Halo MMO that plays like Planetside would be pretty sweet, with Scarabs and Spartans and whatnot.
IF done right, and that's a pretty big IF.

Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
Yah. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of limitations. For example, the vehicle handling in Planetside is pretty bad and there aren't any interactive world objects.
Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
I haven't played planetside at all but i've watched a bit of it including a few livestreams and its entertaining as hell seeing how the battles play out.

Planetside was one of the biggest inspirations for the Halo MMOFPS that I drafted some time ago. Don't think they could to a CoD MMO, though, since CoD is focused on very small, infantry engagements on tiny maps.

Despite the fact they are doing a CoD MMO in China.

It'll be interesting to see what Aerospace turns out to be as that was hinted at being a MMOFPS.

F2P an MMO does not make.
Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
I assume it doesn't stop Aerospace. And Activision is just the publisher for Destiny, not the owner.dragoon9105 wrote:Bungie is becoming a Publisher? for Mobile Devices? The Fuck? don't they have a contract with Activision for all their Sweat and Tears for the next few years?

F2P an MMO does not make.
global agenda is F2P and they did good enough on it to make a second F2P game

Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
I never said F2P was bad or anything. I just wouldn't consider F2P as the only qualifier necessary to consider a game an MMO.
Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
Yes, but not for other people's Sweat and Tears.dragoon9105 wrote:Bungie is becoming a Publisher? for Mobile Devices? The Fuck? don't they have a contract with Activision for all their Sweat and Tears for the next few years?
Somebody at Activision probably got a pair of concrete shoes for that oversight.

Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
And in MMO trailer tradition, they've released a 5 minute CGI trailer that has nothing to do with the game but shows people fighting each other in super awesome ways. Also the Beta is out.

Re: Wouldn't Skyrim Make a Good MMO?
I really want the guys who made all the trailers for the Star Wars MMO and the guys who made the Skyrim MMO trailer (if it's not the same guys) to make a full feature film on fucking anything already.
