the master chief still looks weird, and that one jackal towards the end was walking weird as fuck, but i'm not sure if its just because i've never seen a CE jackal that close before when it unalerted or not.

but the switch between graphics is amazing, even if it lags for a moment after the switch.

yeah... I hope they add some detail to his visor... because that flat reflective visor they have now does not look finished in the slightest... so I hope it is still WIP


the jackal dosn't seem too wierd for me... although it is walking a bit wonky since the animation used for them in later games is a bit more hunched over

HD version of that video, it looks better then what I thought, and I think the gameplay is identical to the first Halo.

Hopefully the go back and fix up the models a little, that's about the only thing I can think of. Also, maybe that original announcer guy to say "TRIPLE KILL"

it hard to break a great game by importing the graphics from a good game. they do seem to have messed up a bit on the OC they made.

im sure none of the games will be BAD... but now that bungie is out of the picture I dont have much confidence in them being truly great...


and if the fuck up a graphical update then they will have failed at doing a job that Modders have probably already successfully done

The only thing I would say about the MC is that from a front view perspective, his helmet looks really boxy/rectangular. But I'm over it already. Otherwise, looks fantastic. I hope they made the Terminals a challange to find and that they have something good to read insidde.

I will be upset if this does not release for PC too. Of course it probably won't since that would require porting the entire Reach engine over. but I got my first experiences in HALO over PC!

I have absolute faith in 343. That is, I have absolute faith that they'll find some way to absolutely ruin the game from a canon standpoint. The addition of terminals seems like the most likely way, so far. Not that there are terminals, but what the terminals will contain. I have little doubt that the plot of the terminals will somehow breach canon in some major way.

I'd like to see Reach ported over to the PC too, but Halo: CEA uses the Halo: CE engine, not the Reach engine.

No new geometry is being added. The Terminals will simply be integrated into the levels as they are right now.

LOL, I was thinking about that too, like if you walk in a spot in the classic mode, and then turn it in HD mode and your stuck inside a terminal.

I think it probably will be released on PC as well, it does use the original engine after all, if they don't I'm sure someone will rip everything off the disk and somehow make it workable on the PC.

Personally, I think the helmet is just a placeholder we were supposed to like. It's just too similar to the helmet from the original reveal.

They went back to the visor having one solid curve instead of ridges. That's why it looks so smooth.
