you plan on escorting 10+ people out of a zombie infested city in a jeep that can seat like 8 not to mention supplies and lack of gasoline, you've been driving that thing for days, might work but we'd need more gas and probably another vehicle

Note that not everybody is acting with he same foresight as you. The military, be it any non-dictatorship/evil military, has a responsibility to its country and people first and foremost.

This begs the question, in the initial outbreaks, do you really believe the American military would not only quarantine non-infected people, but slaughter them as well?

we could get an SUV in the parking lot, me and phenix drive each one (so we go 20% farther) and the jeep is used as a scout...

With the rainwater thing - the majority of buckets are still filled with fresh or grey water from when he tap was running. If you took all the empty ones and filled them with water there would be enough for three days.

School bus is a viable option but would need fortification first - also, the roads may be too blocked for something so big.

If you plan on driving out remember you'll have to face the military - and some people think they'll shoot you in the face.

Is there an airport in Nottingham? I'll look but I don't think so.

And doors screwed onto a fucking jeep doesnt make it inpenetrable, the front windsheild probably has no protection whatso ever (you wouldnt be able to drive with it covered)

And zombies have probably worn that thing down to breaking point
