No steel drums in the workshops, and the ones from maintenance are currently storing water. You can get the parts you need and sacrifice a day's water - or you can smith some yourself with 2 extra construction points.

JB, you find a grid which leads to a pipe containing 2 days worth of stagnant water.

It looks pretty dirty, if you run it through the filtration it should be safe to drink. But may still carry some minor infections. Also: if you want to completely reduce the risk of illness, I need to know how you'll be boiling the water, since it's part of the filtration method.

Gold, you find Hunting Rifle (x3) ammo .22 rimfire (x180), Handgun (x5) ammo 9mm (x105). Baseball bats, hockey sticks, blunt metal objects, and two knives.

Construction: If we cover the pot with tin foil, we should be able to boil out impurities while conserving most of the water

I actually meant what you'd be using to heat up the water - but that should help conservation out a bit.
