I'm not informed enough about the topic to take a side as of yet, so I'll be doing some research. Still, I do find the US media seems to have unprecedented bias for the Israeli government.

Really?
All I see are news reports of the suffering innocents in Palestine. I'm watching CBS, what are you watching?

My grandpa(the democrat one) watches Fox just to see if they fuck up.
They do and he laughs.

And then I keep telling him that even though he doesn't like the channel, they still get the ratings when he turns it on.
He still doesn't seem to get that one.

I'm with Recon on this one. I'm not up to date on the topic, so I'll have to do some research into it. However, based on the past, I'm probably going to be supporting Israel. Hamas has a history of launching rockets across the border from Katyusha systems, and then when Israel bombs the Katyushas and some girl happened to be playing jump rope next to the missile trucks, Israel gets all sorts of grief about the one civilian death. I mean, what the hell is the girl doing playing jump rope next to a Kaytusha truck, anyway?

Lol, yeah, I'm like Pie's Grandpa. I turn it on every once in a while just so I can get all angry. The other day, Glenn Beck (who is now on Fox) was getting all upset about a picture of Obama's (second) inaugural sign-in, and he and he didn't have his hand on a bible. Then he got upset that Obama mentioned "Non-Believers" (which I think is a condescending term), because I guess he think we shouldn't be included : P

I didn't mind the non-believers part, but I got pretty upset with that civil rights nutjob who concluded his benediction with "And let White finally be right."

That elicited wild cheers from the audience... 90% of which was black.

That way, we can easily get our daily dose of propaganda!

Rasq wrote: I didn't mind the non-believers part, but I got pretty upset with that civil rights nutjob who concluded his benediction with "And let White finally be right."

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing all this crap about civil rights. I don't want it to ever be the focus in one of his speeches again. Being modest, and acting like it is not that big of a deal is probably the best thing we could do.

Still, there are many alive who grew up under segregation and we have to let them have their time to celebrate. We have "gone a long way," as exhausted as that phrase may be. The speech that guy was giving was actually an old thing that Black Civil Rights protesters would often recite when... protesting...

The Jews are not promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims. The Jews don't hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. The Jews don't traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels. Perhaps the world's Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems. Muslims must ask 'what can they do for humankind' before they demand that humankind respects them. Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel 's part, the following two sentences really say it all:

"If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel."

The bugs were... alright. Not exact, but their graphics aged rather well...

But look at the costumes used throughout the movie. They just scream "God-awful 90's budget trash!"

Israel has been a major problem. I have to go with Hamas. Ever since Israel existed it has caused problems. The 3 major religions were there in peace, but that got screwed up because of them.
Also...
Israel should not exist in the current place it is. Jerusalem should be controlled by no one.

What do you mean by "denying" the holocaust?

The "way it used to be" is that Israel wasn't a country, and the British had it.
There were Palestinian Arabs there and they were more in control than the Jews (and there weren't even that many Jews)

So that can't really happen.

I never minded who owned it. More like it was under the control of the people. So basically no one alone owned it.
No one really owned it.

I meant more like Mecca. Just with 3 religions inside of parts of a religon (Shia, Sunni)
