Who did you support?
The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Do you think Israel should have pulled out?
Personally, I don't.
They shouldn't have been so careless in their collateral damage, but they were doing the right thing by going offensive on Hamas.
They've been surrounded by nations trying to end their existence for 60 years, and it's about damn time they fought back.

I don't think the Israeli's should have pulled out.
If you launch missiles at someone, you can expect retaliation... so, the Israeli's have every right to be in there... even if they are causing a lot of collateral damage...
Anyways, they should've stayed until the job was done...

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Both sides are to blame, they've had a mud sligging match for years, with Rockets coming from Gaza, and Israel retailiating.
Israel wants the entire country as it was given to them by God, Palestinians hate them and support terroism.
So tell me, which side should I be on?

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Hamas shot rockets and then about a week later Israel went in.
Do you think anyone cares if they used white-phosphorous? I mean, we use depleted uranium which gives off radiation.

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Our 'Silver Bullet' Rounds have a DU core
And yes, DU does give off radiation. Not alot, but still some. Look it up, there are cases against the U.S. Military for radiation poisoning caused by the tank armor and by found fragments.
I will also believe my third cousin(who I refer to as 'uncle' most of the time) more than someone on the internet... Twenty+ years of military experience compared to zero...

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry states that, "to be exposed to radiation from uranium, you have to eat, drink, or breathe it, or get it on your skin." However, The Institute of Nuclear Technology-Radiation Protection of Attiki, Greece has noted that "the aerosol produced during impact and combustion of depleted uranium munitions can potentially contaminate wide areas around the impact sites or can be inhaled by civilians and military personnel." While any radiation exposure has risks, no conclusive epidemiological data have correlated DU exposure to specific human health effects such as cancer.
It is thought that between 17 and 20 countries have weapons incorporating depleted uranium in their arsenals. They include the U.S., the UK, France, Russia, China, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Pakistan, Thailand, Iraq and Taiwan. DU ammunition is manufactured in 18 countries. Only the US and the UK have acknowledged using DU weapons.

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Actually, they attacked a few days after the cease-fire expired.KristallNacht wrote:Israel broke the cease fire.
They've been playing defense for over 60 years, why should they have to wait for more of their people to die before they do anything?
No.KristallNacht wrote:

Some Lebanese militants fired rockets into Israel, Israel retaliated, and then Lebanon apologized and warned the militants to back down.

Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
I don't know enough about the conflict to make a good decision, but I'm leaning towards Israel... as for weather they should have pulled out, I have no idea.
Re: The Israel/Gaza War: What do you think?
Israel wants the entire country. The palestinians want somewhere to live and their old land back.
They are both to blame.

I would like to thank Israel for their patience, considering how Hamas has launched over 5000 rockets in the past year, and Israel pulled out two years ago after their mortal enemy was elected in the general elections.

I like Israel though, so I don't mind even if they invaded Jordan and gave that to the Palestinians
(and I am aware that wouldn't work, but that's a different issue)

Ja. I think of the whole "V2 Rocket" campaign back in WWII. Launch the missiles before the terror-bombers show up, bomb the launch sites before the buzzbombs take off...thane321 wrote:am i thinking of a completely different conflict when i think air strikes vs rockets??
