Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
It will be our own faction.
I care not for the peace and laws of the Republic, nor the Greed and power struggle of the Sith. We shall make the game as we want it and not be held down by any silly Creed or Doctrine. We will do as we please when we want.

Hmmmm...
Do you think we could use droids or even hired mercenaries to help us take over the/a ship?

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
I don't see why not
But I do have my own morals, we WILL ALWAYS follow through on our word.
If we pay mercenaries to do something, you better believe we will pay them rather than double-cross them. Just good business

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Okay then, personally I would prefer to have a security staff of droids on a ship, should we need one. We probably will, depending on the class of ship we take over.

I would rather see them used as canon fodder or a diversion, either way if they all die we wont have to pay them.. I think.Lord Pheonix wrote:I don't see why not

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
It really depends on how the game makes the ships.
Remember when we played Kotor and we would be on the ships and they would automatic turrets? Im thinking it would be cool if they made it so you could customize where you want the turrets and stuff, seems like something they would do. Or at least buying them and they are put in the pre-designated areas.

They would probably die, along with some of our own troops. But once they respond on the other planet or wherever they do I would contact the leader and pay him for his work.
I know I wouldn't want to fight, die, loose troops, and take over a ship just to be booted off and not payed, then be stuck with all your troops who want to be paid too.
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
That too, but i'm afraid that if we do have a internal attack on our ship, a smuggler would be able to get ahold of a terminal and shut down any self defense systems or droids, or even turn them against us.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
then we re-hack or whatever.
and thats saying if the smuggler is unguarded, unwatched, and gets access to a terminal that lets him turn off all our defenses (which are usually surrounded by turrets)
Really depends on how the game works out.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
There are more vital parts of a starship that need maintaining, and I don't think we would have enough to defend them all. So we would need a security staff.

The Security staff would be everybody that wants to fight
The most vital place to defend is the Bridge, as that is where I am ^_^

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Well if it plays like Kotor than they will have to get to a certain range before they can fire(or at least accurately) so when they crack open the locked door I will have a team of snipers shoot them while they run through the minefield that we place down, and when they get close enough we can switch to all of our preferred ways of combat.
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Should that happen, although, I would rather be the attackers, rather the defenders.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
of course, but at some point if we have a ship of that size we would more than likely fight.
We will take our own ship, if we are to take any more ships than that I do not know(for raiding yes, but to actually get a fleet im not sure. Depends how the game roles again)

A minefield in a ship? look at my avatar for my response to that.Lord Pheonix wrote:Well if it plays like Kotor than they will have to get to a certain range before they can fire(or at least accurately) so when they crack open the locked door I will have a team of snipers shoot them while they run through the minefield that we place down, and when they get close enough we can switch to all of our preferred ways of combat.

Hmmm...
I think we should first establish dominance on a different planet, probably Hutta or Ord Mantel
