Given that the guy on the left is named "Anastasia", the NoKor soldier is probably going to go home and talk about how we're all giants and our women are ugly.Tylertlat wrote:Lord Pheonix wrote:The American Soldier could literally snap that man in half if he wanted.
Can we really call him that?

BTW we, the US, and South Korea send our tallest and sometimes most muscular troops to the DMZ to play a little mind game with the North Koreans and make them feel insignificant. so those S Korean and US troops are probably like 6 foot 6in.

Starvation halts the bodies growth since it's not getting the proper nutrients.
And Asians do tend to be a bit shorter than others. Plus I can totally see us sending our taller and stronger looking guys to fuck with em.
But he is shorter because of starvation while their new leader is rather round in the cheeks.

the shortest people we send are 5'9" to intimidate them with our height , so those soldiers could be anything from that up... as someone who is 5'10" thats not very tall to be intimidating

1.84 meters here.
Anyhow, the minimum height for the NoKor army was recently lowered to 1.42 meters. That's 4 feet seven inches for you primitives.

I like the metric system and use it for most things.... but I dont know why you would use the metric system for measuring the height of things less than 5 or 10 meters tall. feet and inches are more precise without needing to go into decimal points (with decimal points either is precise)
its like using celsius to measure normal liveable temperatures....... it is much easier to say it is 75 or 76 degrees out than 23.889 and 24.444 respectively

The minimum height requirement for NoKor recruits is 142 centimeters tall.
It is 24 degrees outside.

Re: Dennis Roadman visits Kim Jong-un in North Korea
the height doesn't bother me as much as the temperature
why the bias twoard the freezing point/ boiling point of fresh water? most water isn't fresh... If you are measuring the temperature of fresh water then celsius makes sense. it isn't about getting a more precise value, if that were the case you would use kelvin. Fahrenheit makes the most sense for the world that most humans live in, things often get WAY lower than the freezing point of fresh water and rarely get close to 100 Celsius

Re: Dennis Roadman visits Kim Jong-un in North Korea
My height is within an inch of a whole number in feet, but as that's too barbaric for some of us, I just say it rounds up to 2 meters.
Wow, meters are really useful in this context, aren't they?
