love firefly, but the writing and acting in Breaking Bad destroys it

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
I got seasons 1-4 of breaking bad just recently and I'm going to start watching them
I need a new drug show to replace Weeds. So this and Workaholics fill the hole in my chest.

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
I saw some of Breaking Bad, and I kinda like it, but there is one gaping flaw:
He's suffered from cancer for three years.
HE SHOULD BE FUCKING DEAD

the entirety of breaking bad so far has taken place over 1 year, and his cancer has been in remission since the middle of the 2nd season

cancer doesn't mean death. there are some treatable forms of cancer, and it also depends on the severity of the cancer.
on topic, i still wonder what the sheperd's past was.

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
Never seen firefly. Heard enough about it that I should watch it sometime, though.
Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
1.) I am confused, what does Breaking Bad have to do with FireFly? Same writer or director?
2.) I FUCKING LOVE BREAKING BAD! ACTING & WRITING ALL AWESOME! I HIGHLY SUGGEST WATCHING IT! IT"S ON NETFLIX!
3.) SCREAMING!!!
Edit: Might need to just ignore #1 as I might have misunderstood Krazy's post. Still not sure :/

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
Breaking Bad is great and all, but I don't know if I'd say it was better than Firefly in any category. And Season 5 has been kinda slow, so far, though I haven't gotten to see episode 3 yet.
Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
I've never seen FireFly so I can't make any statements of one being better then the other. Two different types of show really.
All I know is, Breaking Bad is one of my all time favorites.

Huh, now I'm not sure whether I'll actually look it up or just leave it be, since I kinda like the mystery behind it too..Rasq'uire'laskar wrote:Actually, you'll find that out if you hunt down the comics.Elabajaba wrote:on topic, i still wonder what the sheperd's past was.

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
I think it was given hints that he used to be an operative like the main bad guy of Serenity.
Evidence being that he could shoot a man in the knee cap without looking and shoot another half a dozen men without killing.
Also the alliance would not help him when he was shot and dying until they took a look at his id/badge thing then they rushed him in for treatment.
I think it confirmed it in the comics.

Re: In this Thread: The best show ever
Washed and repeated the goal of the show to many times for me to give a fuck anymore.
"Find out who burned me"
"They burned me but they didn't"
"He burned me but they....
You know what, I can't even make fun of it anymore because I had no idea what the fuck was even going on season to season.
