Meh. Didn't like the mod myself. Too focused on adding stuff from the Soviet side, not focused enough on making them fun to play.

Just my opinion though.

Good article regarding new gameplay features in CoH2.

Not sure about Trusight, because it might push Company of Heroes over the boundary between game and simulator. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up as a map option you can turn on and off, same as the blizzards.

Now the ice, on the other hand, promises to be awesome!

New trailer confirms that guns are in the game! Also, shows tanks sinking into the ice.

The Eastern Front mod allowed you to use Katyushas, but not that many of them, lol.

I'd recommend Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, but sadly, it doesn't work on Windows 7.

Faces of War is the sequel of Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, and Men of War is the sequel to Faces of War. Don't know how they compare to Soldiers, and I haven't played Faces of War, but Men of War is fun (also really difficult, get the original Men of War if you want singleplayer, Assault Squad doesn't have a campaign).
