This time we duel over information (or alcohol). It's better justified than the fight with the chinse communist.
Marisa says she knows, and doesn't tell us. That's just mean.
Violence is entirely justified. It's just good detective work to beat witnesses to make them speak the truth.
"Shall we dance?"
"Yes, I believe I shall." So then they danced their anger away, and the fight ended happily for everyone. Marisa and Cirno teamed up to find the Daidarabocchi and had fun adventures. Those adventures did not feature fights at the merest provocation, and both characters gained wisedom and learned a valuable lesson about life.
Touhou is a game about personal growth.
Or Marisa could be a dick and keep fighting. Yay green magic bolts?
Cirno uses ice cube. Nothing happens.
Cirno is definitely high. Her eyes betray the substances in her body.

Throwing icicles as tall as Cirno loses its satisfaction when marisa just blocks them.

Oh no, We've ended on a cliffhanger! How can we stand the suspense of this epicly told story? We can't. It's too much to bear.
Well, Cirno vs. Marisa isn't really spectacular at all. Marisa's spells are not difficult to fight because they are either predictable, or else directional and fairly easy to dodge. In terms of normal combat she does fairly well, but the main thing that Marisa seems to have done to get in Cirno's way is to continue to resist after being bested on the field of honorable combat. Marisa is not a nice person.
What horrors will Cirno discover in the geyser? Will there be flashes of steam, dangerous to a creature of ice? Cave bats? Demonic spiders? A spirit of the earth? A stash of warm rice wine?
I guess we'll find out later.

I didn't take screenshots of everything, and there are multiple playthroughs to get more, not all of which resulted in wins. In addition, Cirno dealing damage is something we've seen a lot already, so I'm mostly focusing on highlighting the opponents.
I think I missed any pictures of the laser entirely on the original playthrough, tbh.

Stage Four is gonna be broken up into multiple sections for various reasons, but here's part one.

When we last left Cirno, she was following Marisa's information that the rice wine and daidarabocchi are under the geyser somewhere.
ENTER STAGE FOUR. CHALLENGER: JUDGE FROLLO.
"Tell me, Daiyousei, why I see it standing there, why its giant form makes me give chase. I hear of it. I follow it. The search for Diadaracocchi has lead me to a heat I can't control. Like fire! Hellfire! This fire in my skin... This burning inferno; I can never win. It's not my fault. I'm not to blame. It was Marisa who sent me to this flame! It's not my fault if in her plan, she lied to me just because she can!"
Yay! Okuu, the hell raven. She's awesome like Cirno. This is because while Cirno is cool, Okuu is hot.
We're apparently inside a nuclear fusion reactor core. Not only are we alive somehow, but it's only "unbearably hot" and it has this massive open space in it... Also, Cirno about to be eradicated, seems like there might be an actually justified fight approaching.
"But I don't wanna get eradicated!" Gotta love Cirno's surprised face. Best sprite ever.
TO THE DEATH! (for once)

Okuu's dash attacks are unweidly and only can be done at the end of a dash.
What's important is the control pose. Okuu control.
Ice attacks still function in the reactor, somehow. Frozone couldn't handle being in a fire, but Cirno can fight in a reactor core.
Beat down during aerial engagement.
Finally we get to throw down some damage as well, but this isn't going well.
"Unyu? Get your pervy eyes away. Knee-to-the-head!"
She's balancing on thin ice.
"Back ye fowl creature!"
Easy-Mode fighting is kind of unimpressive looking since the opponent only really makes melee attacks, unfortunately. I'll upload some screens fighting Okuu on Lunatic and getting defeated soundly later. Considering that I somehow lost half my life vs. Okuu on easy, we know two things: I am not very good, and Okuu more difficult than anyone else.
So far this is our most straightforward fight because the purpose is clear, although yet again it appears to be because of a misunderstanding. More than half the fights in Touhou start from people being jerks to each other or misunderstandings. The rest are either friendly bouts, or serious business.
Touhou is a game about poor communication.
