I didn't know about the stupid age restriction until after I made my account. By then it was too late.
And I don't think that would work, bacon.

I don't know, they didn't start the stupid age restriction until this year, and I didn't know about it when I made my second account.

Re: Left 4 Dead
it really was. I played it at my friends house twice through the demo levels. once online with 2 others so we'd have someone with some experience. then again jsut the two of us.
in just two run throughs of 2 levels we learned how different the game could be each time through. Weapons were in different places, enemies attacked differently, some enemies just straight up weren't even there.
ntm it feels like an epic zombie movie. When we were in the subways, my friend (on same box) was straggling behind and one of the boss infected with the long tongue grabbed him and pulled him back into the darkness, I had to back track away from our online companions to shoot the guy with my rifle. my buddy has nearly no health left and was limping as we made our way back up to our teammates and we saw them running back towards us with a tank chasing them and smashing through everything.
was AWESOME!!!
ntm the first time through, we set off a car alarm and watched as a huge swarm hopped over a nearby fence to anally rape us.
the second time when it was just us plus AI, we got to almost the end of the subway easily, then i was on the minigun and we were picking everyone off, and then there was a zombie drought, i scan for a few seconds like "wtf? where are they?" and then a hunter pounced on me just as a huge swarm flooded us and killed us all...
was uber epic...plus that intro video is savage

its so great
i love the respawn concept for if you completely die. How you become a survivor in the world that the team has to rescue.
come on guys, share your experiences!!!
I'm downloading the pc demo as we speak. Hopefully i can get it working without steam (my steam won't update so i can use it)

I do hope you all got (and are getting) it for PC. It is truly heretic to get a Valve game on console.

woah. first you post with sarcasm, then you get all serious on me.
You pretty much covered what I was saying.
I'm mainly referring to people like NT, who I know very well have a good enough pc to run it. They'll like just pirate it, which is even worse.

Re: Left 4 Dead
That's the benefit of consoles, and that's why they are taking over. I suppose they must be given credit for making games be recognized similarly to blockbuster movies. I just hope the PC game market can re-emerge. It's kinda in the gutters as of now. Damn fucking pirates!
PCs really aren't as expensive as you'd think. I'm sure all you guys would really have to do to play games on your PCs would be to upgrade the RAM and videocard. That's like, 200 dollars. Hmmmm... less than any current gen console (save the dumb core.)

Re: Left 4 Dead
Well, there's the basic zombie, who kind of "zombie walks" around until you get to close or damage it, then it'll run at you, at those things are pretty fast.
There's the Boomer, which is a big fat zombie who explodes when killed, or when you get too close to it, and when exploded the Boomer emits a cloud of stuff that attracts other zombies.
There's the Smoker, who has a really long tounge that it uses to strangle you and pull you closer to it, and the only way to get free is for someone else to kill the Smoker, also when it's killed it emits a cloud of smoke, temporarily incapacitating any NPC survivors; Smokers sometimes hide on rooftops.
There's the Hunter, which lunges at you and starts ripping your guts out if it isn't killed quickly, and they also sometimes hide on rooftops.
There's the Tank (I think it's called that), which is basicaly a mass of muscles; it can take alot of damage, and will knock you to the ground or else send you flying accross the room.
There's the Witch, possibly the most dangerous (and annoying) zombie; until provoked, it will sit on the ground, crying; when startled, it will imediatly spin around and knock you to the ground, reducing you health to practicaly nothing; they too can take quite a bit of damage; not sure what happens if you shoot it from far away, I've only ever seen one once and I practicaly tripped over it when I found it; it wasn't happy about that.
That's all the ones I know of.

Re: Left 4 Dead
lol it gets very earie when you hear a witch
and its even earier because the flash light on your gun disturbs the witch to basically you are running through a dark room with no light hoping that you dont trip on the witch or get near it for that matter
