Re: WoW
Everyone I know who plays it says it is not nearly as addictive as non-WoW players say it is.
But they probably are just in denial.

Re: WoW
I play... I usually get about 6 hours a week...
which I wouldn't call being addicted...
to put that to scale... I spend about 7 hours a day working on art of some sort

Re: WoW
I used to play but I lost interest after each character I make gets to around 25. I do love the trailers they put out for their expansions though.

Re: WoW
I used to never make it past 25 also... but they have certainly revamped the gameplay to keep it interesting
suddenly I found my character to be level 30... higher than I ahd ever gotten one...
its nice that you can get a mount at level 20 now too

Re: WoW
I know, and it only costs 3 Gold, but that is just a land one at 160% speed. It used to be so much higher and level 40 i think for a mount.
I'm not sure, i have only been playing a while.

Re: WoW
level 40 gets you a better one... but the game certainly plays a bit better when it doesn't take 20 minutes to go anywhere

Re: WoW
When i said level 40 i meant it used to be lvl 40.
Plus the leveling system is so much faster especially with the recruit a friend system.
Level 24 Balanced Troll Druid after around 18 hours game time.

Re: WoW
No thanks. It's a bad kind of MMORPG.
I hate how it's setting the standards of how othe MMO's will be made, because of it's success rather than what's actually IN it.

Re: WoW
have you ever actually played it Gauz?
there is a reason why it is the most popular MMORPG out there.....
bad things can be successful, but they don't stay successful for 4 years strait

Re: WoW
I don't like the idea of paying $15 a month to play ONE game online.
Compared to xbox live, where i can pay $60 a year and play any 360 i want.

Plus, if I was buying PC games, I'd probably go with a different Blizzard game...

a game you already paid for also. At least with 360 games there is the option to play offline.

Shouldn't this statement say "this is why I don't play MMOs" as there are plenty of PC games out there that you only pay for once.

A large market of PC games is MMOs.

Yes, I HAVE actually played it. With that being said, I stick to what I already stated.
Bad things can stay successful for a while. Even for longer than 4 years.

Well if you're looking at a market OF MMOs than yes. However there are plenty of other types of games out there for the PC.
