That's because that's what they want you think.
Seriously though, they used to be the worst publisher in the business. They've made progress, but they've got a long way to go.
Well, here's a step in the wrong direction for EA.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I'm sure this violates a ton of contracts and publishers who want to make single player games can use those violations as a way to opt out of previous agreements. They'll just find a new publisher until EA realizes that... wait... this is EA... they can't think. What was I thinking?
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I heard this over xbox live. This is fucking bullshit, now the only reason I don't want to burn EA to the ground is that it will cause problems for Dead space 2. Though on the other hand it might just save them from their greedy hands.

How many multiplayer supergiants does EA own? Activision owns most of the big ones now (Starcraft, Call of Duty, and anything Bungie produces). What does EA have? Their sports games?

Finally got Black Ops And I bet as soon as I put the game disk in, people will move over to a completely different game that I don't have.

Heard about the dlc already.
I don't understand their apparent need to put gimmicks in all their dlc maps...

Well, here's a step in the wrong direction for EA.
Did you guys actually read what the guy said?
"They're very comfortable moving the discussion towards how we make connected gameplay – be it co-operative or multiplayer or online services – as opposed to fire-and-forget, packaged goods only, single-player, 25-hours – and you're out. I think that model is finished."
They're talking about not making solely offline single player games. Not making multiplayer only games.
"connected gameplay" can mean as little as a trade feature for an RPG or as large as an MMO.
Overreaction? Just a lil?

Another CoD: BO map pack coming out in May. I could have swore that a map pack had come out not too long ago.

Like i said, New zombie pack bound to come out, and it looks like from that art that it adds objectives besides 'survive' this time around, cool

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Did they even release a Zombie maps only pack back in WaW?
I don't think so otherwise I would've gotten it. As that was the only reason why I got WaW when I did.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Nope, every zombie map in WaW came bundled with the other multiplayer maps across 3 map packs. So you had to pay the maximum amount possible to get them.
As for what Dragoon said, I think from the way it's written, all those embolded massive words are the names of the upcoming maps and not objectives in the zombie mode.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Just supporting that statement.
Yes, I know I'm stating the blatantly obvious, but what dragoon said made no sense unless he thought those were objectives, as that artwork reveals nothing.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Yeah the only one he seemed to talk about was the Zombie pannel that says survive. Which is what you pretty much do anyway.
The other pannels are multiplayer maps so of course they're going to be objective compatible. So I don't know where he sees the objective at. Though I got to admit, an objective based Zombies map does sound interesting.
