Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Normally I wouldn't care, but damn they really lost the plot now.
It's now Call of Duty : Not too distant Future Warfare.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
At least they can come up with some scifi explanation for regenerating health.
Also? Horses? HORSES? in the future.... Why cant it be light Cycles or you know no chase scene at all just pinning a tracker to the back of the guy and calling in a predator strike, need him alive you say? fill it with future gas"

to think i might have gotten this lol, still might actually if they keep it they way Black ops was and stray from its two-bit brother with going into the future.dragoon9105 wrote:At least they can come up with some scifi explanation for regenerating health.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
...Whoa. I would expect the whole "future" scene from IW not Treyarch. Haha
Yeah, the horses kinda threw me off too. Seemed very out of place especially since he's all like "robots! technology! .... old west style horses!"
IDK....a werid curve ball has been thrown. Well, at least we know the MP will be the same and the maps will be $15 each etc etc.
Also, not nazi zombies but maybe nazi robots? Hmm...
EDIT: Just noticed something. Vigil you are the least caring person about CoD I think there is in yet you're always the first to post the threads about the new CoD's. I just find that a little funny.

Actually i'm the least caring.
Last one I played was Modern Warfare 1......maybe 2.
Not black ops or the last one.
And I don't own an xbox.
So not a shit given over here.

^I suppose that's true but I still count Vigil more. He's more vocal about it. But that's only because I play online with him more.

If he's more vocal about it then that means he cares more than I do.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Oh well... at least this one looks like it will have colors. Animation sure hasn't improved, though. Graphics remind me a lot of Halo 2. And... are those horses?
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
From what Woods says, militaries have been almost completely automated so being forced to use low tech stuff like horses kind of makes sense. Too bad this is going to suck.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
The people in charge really must suck if they let their own technology get taken over to be used against them. You'd think we'd do something about that during development to prevent exactly that in the near-future.

I knew they would pull some crazy shit with this. I had assumed that Mason and Price would somehow meet, because WOODS WAS DEAD (you know, minor detail).

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Yea He DID kind of explode, Plot said so, He died sacrificing himself, Even if there wasn't a massive explosion i mean you don't sacrifice yourself and come back to life.
Its the Mustache, Call of duty can't kill off anyone with a mustache. I have broken the secret to their plot!. Any other character that died with a mustache is a scrub and should go kill themselves and stop playing this glorious peak of creativity oh wait they are dead so ha! And anyone who i still alive and didn't have a badass mustache at some point is also a scrub and should go play Halo or something.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
The horse thing looked like it was in the middle east, no the US. Reminded me of that scene in Rambo III where there's a cavalry charge at the Russian tanks.
I talk about COD because it was going to be talk about eventually, and honestly, the change was semi-interesting. The robot design is very similar to Syndicate and Deus Ex. And the plot sounds like the one from Metal Gear Solid 4.
So is it all in the same universe? If so America wouldn't have the funds to go all robot automated, not after about 10-15 after the largest invasion of US soil by the Russians and the level of damage they did. It's semi possible sure, but it's pushing credibility a tad.

Yeah I saw that video floating around COD a few weeks ago, but I passed it off as a Multiplayer kill streak or something.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Sharper graphics? Again, all I see is Halo 2 graphics (or a lot of people seem to be comparing it to BF 2142).
Still, COD DOES seem to be doing some positive things. Squad-command combat, variable types of enemies, and a story that might actually be interesting (and variable to boot)... idk, it might be worth a shot - no pun intended.
Can't say too much yet, though, and, considering past releases, my hopes aren't very high. At least I can say that the Call of Duty franchise is actually trying again. I suppose they have to after the huge flop that was MW3.
