Doom Mod
Anyone up for it? Anything from just making maps, to adding/changing weapons and monsters and even possibly adding in things like inventory, stats, experience, etc(its possible).
I can make maps, and given some time, learn how to create new enemies and weapons.
Anything more advanced than that, however, would require a scripter.
New enemies and monsters would also need new Sprites... or depending on the engine used, 3D models.
www.codeimp.com has one of the best map creation programs for Doom and DoomBuilder2's map formats are compatible with tons of different simple code and script functions.

I have some ideas if anyone is interested or maybe one of you have your own. If you want to see what the ZDoom and GZDoom engines can do I would suggest using a search engine and just searching their names. GZDoom's Screenshot thread is actually rather impressive.

Did some searching and discovered that implimenting RPG elements such as experience, leveling, skills, conversation stuff, inventory, buying/selling is all possible with ACS in ZDoom.
Friendly monsters are easy to create, and new monster AI can be created but is often a bitch to be anywhere near 'smart'.
Parties are kinda a tossup and people are working on them atm. Honestly, for a party system, it would just be easier to have people play it in co-op, if possible with the rpg elements.
