DAMMIT BB! I SAID NO SPOILERS! EVEN THOUGH I THINK I ALREADY READ THAT PART!
Who the Hell are you, and what the Hell have you done with Pieman?
Yeah, he got somewhat ridiculous towards the end.KrAzY wrote:I disagree vigil... Keyes is awesome... but what they are portraying him as now is to the point of making the character unrealistic... the same way as they did to Johnson... IMO this takes the characters from awesome to "overplayed"
Having read Eon, I'm confident in Bear's ability to keep the mystique of the Forerunner, and open up new mysteries as well.Ringleader wrote:KrAzY wrote:part of what makes halo cool IMO is not knowing the backstory to the forerunners.... taking away that mystery takes away the entire feeling of the setting that works so well in the games
100% agree, not everything needs an explanation. The whole thing about the Forerunners was their transcendence, they built planets and yet, no one knows anything about them... what else is there to know? Any other information would just make them seem more vulnerable/human.

That was my point. Nylund potrayed him as an excellant ship commander and had more info on the Spartans, and John then we originally thought.
When he comes buddies with all the ODST's because he uses space recoil to escape an explosion. That was borderline retarded, and they have really overdone the character now.

I didn't mind CH that much. It was a decent read, but I can see why people would dislike it. It's quite the long shot as far as the halo-verse is concerned.
