Well, I do but don't really feel like spending it on something like an arcade game.

Re: Risk: Factions
I just don't like the idea of playing a board game without a board, some chips, and some friends all sitting in a circle.
I've recently been trying to figure out Axis and Allies. My main motivation behind playing the thing is that the board is FUCKING BEAUTIFUL.
It's HUUUUUUGE and there are like 10 different units and OMAGA!

Axis and Allies, the second board game I ever played after Risk...And possibly the best board game ever made.ReconToaster wrote:I just don't like the idea of playing a board game without a board, some chips, and some friends all sitting in a circle.

Re: Risk: Factions
Chess... Stratego... Axis and Allies... Risk... Monopoly... all board games that I would pay to have on XBL. Risk is my personal favorite, though, and I would love to be able to play with other people over XBL. If nobody else gets it, though, I'm not sure I'll get it.
XBL is the only place that people would actually play it. My friends think it takes too long or is too complicated, and my family either sucks at it or doesn't want to play. I can never find someone that wants to play a game, but people get on XBL simply to play games. If there's ever a place to find someone to play Risk, it would be XBL.
Seriously, I think we should get a list of people together who will buy it. The more people, the more fun, and the greater chance of others getting it as well. Ten dollars isn't that much, guys. Minimum wage pays more than that in an hour-and-a-half. That's shorter than a single turn in the game lol.

Yeah, I know the feeling. It wasn't until this (school) year that I finally discovered that a couple friends of mine are willing to play Boardgames, and we've had a really great time with them.
Really, nothing beats sitting down and playing a 6 hour long game of Risk, or Monopoly. I won Monopoly the only time we played it, and I've won Risk two out of three times. The third time they both ganged up on me because... well... I kinda neglected agreements that I'd made with both of them throughout the game.
I still have no fucking clue how to play Axis and Allies, but God damn I want to learn.
Honestly, I'd definitely be buying this game if I were keeping my 360, but I'll be selling it pretty soon, so it'd be a waste.

Re: Risk: Factions
He must be talking about actually putting the pieces on the board or the cards. Which are the most complicated part of the game....Which isn't very complicated.BBJynne wrote:CivBase wrote: My friends think it takes too long or is too complicated

Eh, maybe I will buy this. Still on the fence about this though.
