Yeah, I think it's mostly the lighting that reminds me of Crysis.
Also, I forgot to mention, the game has this new physics engine called the 'drama' engine. The Idea behind it is to focus everything on the player. Exploding debris might be more likely to fly towards you in particular, to keep you on edge make the game more 'intense.'
I think it's a pretty cool idea as long as it's not overdone. Anyway, an example of this can be found at about 48 seconds into the video. He blows up the car and it comes flying right by him.
Also... yeah, Democracy is not a form of government, it is an aspect of government, or a principle by which government is formed.

It's not like you're gonna get smashed in the face with every piece of debris on the Battle field. It's just supposed to create a noticeable threat.
It's more just supposed to make debris JUST MISS YOU, so you jump, and flip out about how close you came to getting hit.

Re: Homefront (PC, 360)
But knowing my luck, I would jump to the side and get hit face first by a piece of debris and die.

I doubt you can actually die from debris that isn't the size of say a truck or something.

Re: Homefront (PC, 360)
It would e a big deal if a car went flying at you IRL, and that is because shit like that NEVER happens. If every car I kill has 1/2 a chance of flying into my face then I think it would lose it's effect.ReconToaster wrote:Dud Doodoo wrote:I'm not too sure about the drama idea...

I really hope the gameplay in Homefront does not suck because from what I saw it looked promising.

North Korea cannot defeat United States in a total war.
unless
they have allies or they nuke everything first or some random thing the writers decide would be cool

Korea has a REALLY large land army in comparison to most of the world, and most of US troops are abroad.
It could happen.

Yes but how in the hell can they get here is the question.
They would need to somehow avoid U.S. sensors (including NORAD and SOSUS) all the way to the U.S. coast, and still get past the National Guard, Army, Marine, and Navy forces stationed here.
Oh, and the Coast Guard too I guess...if they're all in speed boats with 200 kilos of coke in the back...

I'm assuming that you're picking this up Ruski?
If so, then please, let me know how it plays. At least the multiplayer n' all. I heard the story is good but short.
