That's because a lot of the weapons are bolt action. Bolt action rifles are more powerful than semi-auto and automatic weapons.

PPSH and the MP40

The PPsH is a high level weapon, and fires extremely fast. It only does 22 damage a bullet. The MP40 does 40 damage a bullet and fires fairly slowly, and does a ton of damage. The Type 100 does the same damage per bullet, and fires much faster, but no one complains about it.

You don't. The Bolt-Actions=the sniper rifles in Call of Duty 4. There are more snipers in WaW.

Bolt action snipers = fail
Helicopters > dogs
CoD4 storyline > CoD: WaW storyline
CoD 4 maps > CoD: WaW maps
Desert Eagle, M16, and M21 = win

Why CoD: WaW wins:
Nazi Zombies > epilogue

And that's why CoD4 is better than CoD: WaW

BTW, Der Riese is amazing and if you like the Nazi Zombies games at all, it's worth the 1600 MS points.
