Laaaaaame...
Man up and just buy the tickets. Or does that not work over there?
Well it's the same here. But usually it's just like getting served underaged in pubs. People just go for it and hoped they aren't asked.
In cinemas it usually works over here. Surprised about the passport. That's just overkill.

Re: DISTRICT 9
ZOMFG!!!!!!
Just saw D-9 and it was fucking amazing...
You all have seen it already you know what you saw...
This movie is so epic. I want a sequal!
BTW, I noticed something while watching the movie.
-SPOILER ALERT- [Highlight to view]
At the scence where Vickus (sp) was piloting that alien mech, one of the MNU soldiers shot at him with a very large sniper rifle. Now I don't know about you guys but that sniper rifle looked very simular to the Halo sniper rifle. It was'nt an exact copy but just looked like it. I think it was a little nod to the Halo movie and such. Just an observation.
But anyway the movie is so good. GO SEE IT!

It was a barrett. What I should have said was that it had that same bar that wraped around the scope as the Halo one does. But then again do real snipers have that? If yes then nevermind.
If no, then I think it was just a little high five to the Halo Universe, cause Bloomkamp knows what he was to be doing before D9. But ya know, that's just me. Just an observation, not a big deal.

You do realize that snipers have those today? The Halo sniper is based on a real weapon...

Oh well there you go. I didn't know that. I've never seen a sniper like that so I just assumed.
Stupid observations aside, the movie is amazing.

One of the best movies of 2009 that what they
were saying to me... I've been planning to watch
it but I think I missed it already... I'll just wait the
release of this movie on DVD... By the way, they
said the ending was hilarious, why what happened
in the end?

Re: DISTRICT 9
um D-9 is still in theaters
and to those interested, i saw it in theaters and then pirated it.
and about the sniper, the bar over the scope is a handle so that it can be easily relocated like a weapon emplacement.

Re: DISTRICT 9
yes it is
thats what district 10 is...
a concentration camp =/= a nazi death camp... a concentration camp is any segregated settlement where a certain type of people (race, country, religion, PoW's, ext...) is forced to live...

I know what a concentration camp is, but maybe I got confused when the UN came in and moved them to a different spot. I thought district 10 was different than the MNU version.

I'll watch the ending later, as you're telling me everything I already know...
I'll have to see if the UN did something.
