okay they are no spartan but they can shear a turret from its stand with their bare hands and hold it while standing....

basically, it seems they decided to make the ODST just like spartans in practically every way.

I see none of the more tactical gameplay we were promised.

It's a set of recon armor. Just like the ODST helmet for spartans in Halo 3, I'm sure the coveted Recon helmet was also a knock-off of ODST armor.


Game looks amazing! I expected graphics quality to go up a bit more... looks too much like Halo 2 graphics, but that doesn't mean much. I thought the quality of the arms didn't really match the rest of the area either, but whatever. The pistol looks fun, and firefight looks like a squad survival game, which is always fun. This game looks like it will rock.

i might pick this up but so far its not grebbing my intrest and seeing as how i cant do anything anyway i dont see me getting it

its 20 bucks right? i might grab it cause im very interested in halo reach and teh pistol looks amazing, plus i like swat and it seems thats all the game is

So Firefight is Nazi Zombies with Covenant characters?

It's kinda like those modes, only it's done in a very Halo Fashion.

They come down in Phantoms, and a randomised force will attack you.

The further you progress the more skulls turn on.

Pretty standard stuff.

no price has been announced but since its a disc based 'expansion' thats also standalone halo 3 multiplayer, AND microsoft is behind it, i'd guess upwards of $40

id buy it if when it came out it was 20 otherwise no thank you and when it goes down in price it wont be worth it anymore

Turns out the big action bits are flashbacks with a bunch of ODSTs.

If it's at night, it's stealth. Daytime = fight time.

I thought they said it would be around $50-$60 for being more like an "actual" game than an "expansion".(or so I've read anyway)

i heard it was 59.99 for the retail version and 99.99 for the "limited Edition" with a special ODST controller, oh and to sweeten the deal theres a multiplayer beta key for Halo : Reach
