Things starting to look bad for the Wii

Shooters didn't do well on consoles because they couldn't get the controls right. I'm not saying it won't work well on the Wii. It just won't sell well. It's not just the type of game, but the story as well. Wii owners aren't interested in the Sci-fi genre.

Hardcore games in general, games that take the player seriously, don't work in the market. Again, Madworld sold 160,000. It was supposed to be a blockbuster hit.

I'm sorry, but FPS experience is just better on the computer. Unless you're willing to fork over 70$ a game on a $500 dollar console.

The Wii has it's own niche market of 'casual gamers'. The mainstay gamers who have been following nintendo for years have been ignored.

How many games at mainstay gamers have their been?

Metroid Prime 3

Super Mario Galaxy

The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

Okami

Resident Evil 4

Mad World.

House of the Dead: Overkill

And that's all I can think of, for a console that is 3 years old

The conduit does look promising, but a few gems in a sea of awful third party games means that my Wii sits lifeless as I play predominantly on my 360, which is much more catered to my gaming tastes.

@ vigil two above. By the way I agree. I only own the one game, but it's still worthy of note.

I'm not sure what mainstay is, but Smash is pretty damn hardcore.

(cheese's definition of hardcore [i first wrote parkour, lol]: a game with the capacity for player improvement beyond the time span in which they learn the controls). It's a tad derogatory but it gets the point across.

Brawl is good.

But that's only about 10 games out of thousands and thousands of games for it, does not bode well for the system as an actual game console.

Look at Yahtzee for example, he continues to slag the system, and I agreed with him when he said big developers should just not bother with the system and focus on the other consoles and PC.

I kinda regret buying it now. I only have 3 games for it.

I hate the wii, my sister got my dad to buy it and then I had to wait another year for a 360 but I finally got one The wii has almost no good games. DBZ bodukai tenkaichi 3 was beast.

I've just given up hope for it.

The 360 is my gaming console now.

The Wii is still ok, i mean ok, crappy games but the way it works is great.

I love battalion wars 2!

I fined that FPS games work well on consols. Well, of course they work better on computers, as that's what they use to make the games...

but, to the point. The Wii sold on pre-hype, and it still is. I found a few good games for it, mainly the old recycled heros of old times(Zelda, Mario, Metriod).

other thanthose, the Wii had some preety shitty games. I don't see what's so applying about it anyway. You wiggle your hand, and stuff happends. Relly next gen isn't it?although, I have to give the Wii crdiet. It's trying so had to get hardcore gamers to play it, but isn't really succeding.

1. its $60 a game
2. No consoles cost $500
3. Comp games are only $10 cheaper
4. Up-to-date Comps cost a lot



Personally, I think neither platform is inherently better for shooters. Though the control set-up for the 360 is better than the ps3.

btw guys, in terms of good wii games, I think you forgot Okami, which is by far the single most beautiful game I have ever been given the priveledge to play.

Okami is a underappreciated game.

It's a shame its bombed twice: On the PS2 and the Wii
