New half-life game?

Some guy went and made a website featuring this video: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173344

Could this be viral marketing for a new half-life game?

but it's kinda crashed from so many hits.


UPDATE: got through to the site... i don't know. It looks professional. It's basically just that box thingy from the video flashing with numbers beneath it. Some guy in the 1up comments did a screenshot and recorded the numbers...

Do you think it could of been done by people like the guys who did escape from city 17? It felt similar to it.

It's intriguing, hopefully it's the first sign of the second orange box.

It's quite a good video. If it is fan made, grats to them. The brain interface was particularly well done. If not, that game looks awesome!

personally, i didn't see where it was particularly half-life like except for the enemy audio tracks

It had combine... and a giant portal ripping through the sky with a "cital" looking structure appearing beneath it. The website was titled "what's in the box," which is where the whole "it's a second orange box" Idea came from.

Why couldn't there be another orange box? They might package in episode 3, portal 2, some of the old stuff again, and whatever this is... and call it "Purple box" or something like that.

they didn't look like combine tho.... if it was official they would have made some actual combine costumes... not wore white painters suits and gas masks....

lol, yeah the combine looked a LOT better in that fan made video that popped up a while back. But I don't know... this thing's weird.

I'm not really convinced of anything at this point. All I know is, whether or not this thing is real... those guys a gaining a shit load of attention from this..

It would be the 'Black Box' if they made another one.

Originally the Black Box was supposed to release alongside the Orange Box and just be ep 2, portal and TF2, for those that already had HL2 and ep1

Indeed. The box itslef gave it away.

It gives off the cregits of the people who made it.

It's fan made.

@NT, Valve have already said that they are tempted releasing another Orange box, espically after the success of the first one.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did another.

I thought the original video said this was a test video, so I would assume that the weird looking Combine would eventually receive digital touch ups to make them actually look like Combine. The video was definitely pretty cool, though. Props to the guys that made it.

But why? I already have Half-life 2, episode 1, episode 2, TF2 (bleh,) and Portal installed.

The only new things they'd make would be the next Half-life episode, and Portal 2. There's no way they'd make a new teem fortress so soon.

They could put L4D on it. That's 3.

You know, originally Orange Box didn't come with Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode 1. I bought it back when it was just Episode 2, Portal, and TF2.

No, I bought a physical Orange Box, which I now have sitting in front of me, that only included Episode 2, Portal, and TF2, as far as I know.

The "black box" did exist, but was only released through steam, to owners of certain ATI cards.

on the cover it depicts those 3, but it lists all 5

Ah, I see. You appear to be right. That would explain the random instance of an extra copy of Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One that I gave as gifts...

I mean latter on, when they have more content to cram into a pack.

Left 4 Dead (Or variation)

Team Fortress 3 (So unlikely, I might as well say the next one.)

The original Half-life with all the mods remade( A mod team have done a good job remaking it, Valve are always on the lookout for talent......)

Seems to fit the bill, even if the last few are unlikely.
