Sorry to bust open the entire thing, but I have decisive proof that it's a cake! What's the difference between a cake and a biscuit? Well, biscuits go soft when they're stale, cakes go hard. Therefore - jaffacake = cake.

I'm wondering for once if a debate will be resolved here or not... Bring on the doubters!
