The video in the link is pretty much a promo for the real vid that will show up in time for Monster Hunt season finale about Giant Squids. Convenient as fuck. (Discovery at 8 p.m. ET Jan. 27)

"Creatures of the sea" includes Cthulhu! And Godzilla! And they'll have the Cloverfield monster as a bullet sponge!

Plus all kinds of creatures that were pulled straight from our nightmares live down there.

Had a few pictures taken of it but they weren't very good and they were just pictures by some tourists that had cameras under a boat.

This is professional video taken by marine biologists who were specifically looking for the fucker.

Or someone from discovery channel who works on the footage. Is how shows get leaked early usually.

There supposed to show it on the 16th I think, can't wait.

It's things like this that make me realize, maaaaann, we're really underfunding ocean exploration and NOAA... We should've been the ones to film this creature 20 years ago from a deepsea exploration platform.

We could probably fund an ISS-style undersea installation for 1/100th the cost OF the ISS, and there's a lot to explore down there.

We still don't know what the fuck is actually down there.


For all we know space really is empty and boring from what we've seen, but deep in the ocean is brimming with life we don't know shit about and have never seen. Living in ways we haven't imagined.


Fuck space, it's all about the ocean.

They really did it. And not some half assed shot where you just see a bit of tentacles and they call it "a once in a life time video". They put bait out in the middle of the fucking ocean. It went up and wrapped itself around the bait and then they put fucking spot lights on it's ass in full unobstructed view and the Squid didn't give a fuck for all of the TWENTY MINUTES it sat there eating it's dinner before it decided it was time to bounce.
