finally watching these. They seem really well done, but they seem to have failed almost completely on Close Order Drill, and honestly, the Marines vests look like shit while most of the rest of their gear looks decent.

But I doubt any of you could list the issues the Close Order Drill had in the first bit of the first episode.

Also, the whole idea of having a class of infantry for the children of high ranking officers really annoys me.

beginning of episode 2: How the fuck does ice continue to spread in space if there wouldn't be any water to condense and freeze? It should have all frozen right away and then just stayed like that.

End of episode 2: The motion trackers should just work as motion trackers only. Hell, they shouldn't even have them at all for small unit tactics training.

Middle of Episode 3: Wasn't it relatively common knowledge that the Covenant had appeared before the first Spartans had engaged them?

episode 4: Why would an Elite's mission be to hunt unarmed individuals like a velociraptor when there are plenty of legitimate and dangerous targets to attack? And why would a SPARTAN bother helping said unarmed individuals by killing a lone elite when there are PLENTY of dangerous targets killing your valuable friendlies? edit: How did EVERYONE die that fast!?!?!?

What is with that annoying click every time the Chief takes a step?

Why does the hammer fall on their Assault Rifle's every time they pull the trigger after it's empty?

Part 5 is out and I thought it was well done. Somethings I didn't like though, and I don't want to spoil it for anyone but you'll see near the end of the episode.

Yah, that was pretty cool. I kinda hoped there would be more to the story, though. It ended as nothing more than background for one of the characters and left my wanting a lot more from it. Still, good series.
