Yeah, the original series is pretty measured, and the fights themselves are relatively subtle. They do really incredible things, but it's not just an explosion-fest of loud noises and flips.

The climax of a fight scene usually involves Ed doing something with alchemy, and then explaining it in a calm, melancholy sort of tone.
