How much rap have you listened to? I hate that crap to...my three favorite KiD CuDi songs are Up Up and Away (which is about enjoying life and seperating himself from stupid things like trash talk), Day 'N Nite (which is about someone being corrupted and brought down) and The Prayer (which is about making amends for all the crap he has done).

You can't just stereotype an entire genre of music on a few complete dicks.

The closest thing to rap that I have listened to was Eminem. And even him I don't care for that much with a few great songs here and there. Rap bugs me. I really hate it. And behind all the cussing and dissing everything in the world, it's still retarded.

Also, that KiD CuDi thing...whatever...Bottom right corner "Parental Advised"...hmm...Other than that ONE song that is actually considered pop, not rap, is one where he actually sings out of how many on the CD is just one monotonous voice rapping?

Well, it's Man on the Moon...so none of them. That i know of. Most of them have a melodic chorus and beat-driven verses. That's why i like KiD CuDi.

Uh, no....where did i say that?

Cussing adds emphasis, like it does in all music. And like other forms of music, it is great to drive home a point. Rappers just generally use more of it. Doesn't make their music better or worse.

Driving beat is what makes good rap, yes. A good driving beat in a rap song is like a good melody in other songs. It does a lot.

Rapping is speaking in beat. There is tone change, it just isn't as pronounced as singing, but it usually isn't in monotone. Do you speak in monotone? Beyond that, a lack of singing doesn't make good rap...it makes rap. It is to rap what guitars are to Rock. If you are singing for an entire rap song, it can't be defined as a rap song.

Are you flaming me for the music i listen to? Besides, there is no "normal" music...Rock and Roll is not normal, Pop is not normal, the only "normal" music i can think of is classical music.

I agree with TNine. Listen to B.o.B. (some just consider him hip-hop but he has some good rap), Gorillaz (Rock The House and Clint Eastwood come to mind), Eminem, or Jay-Z.

Like I said before, I'm starting to turn around to SOME Rap and other music. But still, for the most part, I don't really like it.
Rap I mean.

Eminem is one that sometimes sounds good when I'm at work and it's playing on the speakers in the store. It's alright, but I'm probably not gonna be buying it anytime soon.

Gorillaz is a lot of different genres. They have rap on a lot of songs though. Rock The House, Clint Eastwood, Superfast Jellyfish, and On Melancholy Hill are my favorites.
