Realism is not what we should strive for.


MoH tried to have realistic snipers. They're a pain in my realistic ass. That gets shot every 5 seconds.

To fight realistic snipers dont stick your head out at every opportune time, play a Hardcore gametype in a cod game, rule one is dont get sniped keep your head behind something.

Real snipers don't stay in the same position after they shoot.

Real snipers don't fire unless the situation is ideal.

Real snipers don't miss.

Real snipers are ANNOYING AS HELL.

"Annoying as hell" does not make for a good gameplay element.

I'm talking about the damage.

You'd love Sniper: Ghost Warrior, a game who's sole purpose is to be a 'realistic' sniper.

except without the first patch its really just a guy crawling around in the grass fighting 15 all seeing eyes that can shoot mind bullets perfectly everytime, even through rocks

Which is why I steered clear of it.

The idea of a game where you'd essentially be playing team snipers all the time did not appeal to me.

also, we all better get this on PC, 64 players with Jet Fighters and big maps, Battlefield is making a come back

Depends, I still really enjoy BF 2 and don't really wanna get a new FPS for awhile.

Also, pc unlocked the bonus map in bc2:v befote either consoles did (was unlocked by a certain amount of team actions being done)

Nice and it looks like dragging dead teamate around might be an actual game mechanic (Ever have someone you needed to revive but they were out in the open and would get sniped every time you picked em up)

Plus bloodspatter that isn't yours can hit you it looks like. unless that was a scripted effect.
