I have so many memories of riding roller-trams and flipping toggles. So many memories of walking into some new area and seeing that freaky little girl run past the screen. So many memories of switching out those 8 CD ROMS!!!

I played Myst when I was even younger, and understood it even less. I actually just recently bought it off of GoG.com.

I haven't touched it.

It's worth seeing the first place, if only to experience the world and read the back story. That landscape was the inspiration for that book I was writing in October

It was HWF and video games. About it.

Well for me it was probably... Halo, unfortunately. And my definition of nerd is just someone who likes... well you know, sci-fi, fantasy, that shit. I'm not a social outcast, i'm very outgoing, I just happen to like nerdy things

That's still not right though.

I've always thought of them as different words for the same thing (if somebody says "geek" with a straight face nowadays, they'll consequently be called a fag) but nerd was just more commonly used now because it's not as annoying to hear.

The gameboy color and pokémon did the trick for me. Then n64 at kroger's pepe's playhouse. Then grandmother dearest bought me a ps1 including coolboarders and spyro. Followed by mathblasters on pc, lurking around on the original XBox, then of course valve entered my life. 423 hours of css later, and I don't regret a minute of it

If anything i became who i am from my 3rd grade friend.
Both of us competed for top of the class till 5th grade when i moved.
I think i had him by a point. ^.^

If I were to think back, I think it was Warcraft 3 that started this for me. I loved the game and was hooked. I eventually started to branch out to other things and then Halo 1 just blew my mind. It was like something I had dreamed up. I got hooked on Halo like how a hooker is with sex (lol rofl), minus the sex part with Halo.

I would also have to say that my extreme fasination with WWII fueled this as well. Oh and lets not forget my love for Russians
