EA's Marketing department once again fails to understand who play's Dead Space, and knock the credidability of the gaming industry down a peg or two.

Fail, EA. Just pure, utter fail.

Sooooooo EA kinda just screwed some of their game sales. If moms hate it then they're obviously not going to buy it for kids under 17 (in the US, I don't know other nations rating systems).

i actually thought that was a pretty good ad.

It's a mature game for mature audiences.

Now if only they did that for games like CoD, Halo, and every other popular MP game that features little squeaky ass kids...

So for a game which's main draws are adult scares and survival horror based on atmosphere and nightmarish creatures, meant to to be played by 18+, you have an advertising campaign based around your mother not liking it?

If your are that age or above I really doubt you or your mother would care what games you were playing, as age restrictions are no longer a concern for you, and by this point you should probably be doing your own thing indepently from them.

This is a pretty unsubtle way to try and say 'Hey kids, go pick up Dead Space 2, because it's full of nasty gore and stuff your mom doesn't like, so get her to buy it without looking at the box lols.'

When the gaming industry is fighting in supreme court trying to stop gaming distribution laws like the ones California is preposing, this hardly does them any favours, and is down right irresponsible.

well, at 18+ you can appreciate the humor in it. the ad wouldn't be more memorable by being obviously addressed towards mature audiences, cause then it would be like every other ad.

A part of my soul just died.

Going to look into the legend of Koschei the Deathless to prevent it from happening again.

FINALLY got around to playing the demo. Game looks great, nearly everything has been improved on imo.

All I can say is.....PC version + surround sound headset = epic.
