krazy you said that vampires can rally thousands within days, so could werewolves just one bite and your a werewolf, also they would be organized because wolves in general always hunt in packs.

except the vampires could rally and kill all of the werewolfs on any of the 30 other days in the month that isn't a full moon


vampires by nature use weaponry except for when they are feeding...


you also forget that the only way to kill a vampire is to expose them to sunlight or drive a stake through their heart... anything made of silver will kill a werewolf... vampires are generally very wealthy... so silver would be pretty easy to come by... one stab into the body of a werewolf with silver... or even contact with quicksilver (mercury) is enough to completely destroy a werewolf

ware wolves cause destruction that can be traced so when the dawn comes he/she is pretty much fucked by an angry mob

where as vampires can control what they do and leave someone's corpse clean and leave not a trace

Now, the whole vampires being destroyed by sunlight also varies depending on the universe. Some are just weakened. So, if these are that kind of vampire, then Werewolves would be royally fucked.

Its pretty even i would think. Because werewolf could in theory use weapons in human forms also. Werewolfs unlike vampires can carry around a cross or holy water to stay safe during the day.

Also if the vampires are blade universe vampires they cant bear to touch silver either.

werewolfs generally don't know that they are werewolfs


they wake up one morning covered in blood with minimal clothing and wonder what the hell happened... the town tells stories of the vicious attacks and the person in question thinks to themselfs "was that me?"

werewolfs also don't become werewolfs until the full moon after they were bitten... where as Vampires turn almost immediately, varying from a couple hours to a day or two depending on universe.


we are assuming ofc that the vampires die in sunlight... as THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE... werewolfs still need sleep. and unless that want to become prime suspects of the town then they had better keep their generic day/ night cycle.

Vampires can hypnotize humans into killing any werewolfs who are being pesky with garlic or crosses... although neither of those things actually kills vampires... just deters them

in oblivion you can go out in sunlight as long as you have fed recently because without the blood magic you cant shield from UV light

and in some universes a victim must drink the vampires blood to contract the vampire virus if they dont they die

Another thing:
Vampires, traditionally, cannot enter domiciles unless invited in.
Hence the whole "Room Service" charade that so often gets cut out of vampire stories.

If any vampire, I would prefer the ones from 30 Days of Night.

They are a good depiction of the savageness of them all. Now, in the 30 Days of Night lore vamparism is contracted through scratches, bites and contact with vampire blood. They have all the traits of mythological vampires and they can in instances "teleport" and use telepathy.

They, however, are resistant to most mythological weapons such as wooden stakes, crosses, garlic, and fire. They can only die if they are beheaded or if they are exposed to the vitamins caused by direct sunlight. UV light burns them and causes immense pain, probably death if they are exposed to it for long.

If these are the vampires that fight werewolves, I think vampires win.

werewolves dont need to kill or infect others to live, and they only come out once a month, so long as they are exposed to the moonlight (at night)

Whereas vampires can get you so long as its dark (at night) every day and they need to kill you or turn you into one of them, and there just plain batty.

Werewolf's only need a full moon for a first turning. Then i'm pretty sure they just turn at midnight every night after wards in some universes.

Plus Vampires Need to drain their victims of all blood in some lores then replenish the corpse with vampire blood. it makes some sense considering vampires are parasitic undead corpses, not "living" blood suckers.

in the book they actually ahve a culture... the main character is a legend to them because he is the creature that kills them in their sleep... as is why its called "I am Legend"
