It really helps because it makes the game environment more like a lan than a telerunning crapfest. Have you played a host with a T1 connection? Your jaw will drop at how smooth the online infrastructure will run.
Ya know , but it seem that having better connection nowadays to quite a few people I have meet over the internet think that having fast internet connections is like the new "Penis size contest."
But they forget, that if you have that much of an advantage then you should be able to play very well, but they usually don't.
And they can't hate me too much for making the game worse, considering half the time I play I am a sitting duck, give out free kills to anyone I encounter cause of epic lag (Like Red connectiong on CoD4/Halo3). Plus I am never the host.
tell that to the kids on your team, who have to deal with a most likely unfair situation because of your red connection...

Regular old broadband. Look on the first page for usual performance. 4.6 i think it was. No idea why it's being so crap tonight. Bet it has something to do with ****!!! F£!&K!!!!!! Warcraft though...

Horrible, but I share with 2 brothers who stream a ton of movies off Netflix and play Runescape, Counter-Strike, WoW, and a ton more.

So, Our nice little Netgear Network Bridges got DESTROYED in a storm surge the other day, so we went out and got new ones. I persuaded my parents to buy the high speed versions, which weren't cheap... and this was the result:

Upload speed is still minimal, but it's beyond my ISP average now, and it gives me Steam downloads averaging at around 800-900 KBPS (Steam servers aren't the fastest in the world)

BTW NT, it's difficult to recognize your posts without Boxxy's beautiful face all over them...

Sorry, but there is no way to measure skill if you have shitty connection. You can be really good but never have fair kills, or you can be really bad and always get cheap kills.

Essentially, good connection is the #1 priority in online gaming, shortly followed by skill.
