Spartans are getting worn out by the game devs by making their shields really weak. An ODST on Reach is just going to get pulverized anyway, besides, there's already an ODST game and there's thousands of bad guys on Reach, more then a Scorpion or a really powerful pistol could handle. In terms of the campaign game play. The game play for Halo CE wasn't perfect, but it sure was a heck of a lot better then Halo 2 and 3.

I'd love to see a marine-themed game that is much more squad based (like SW: Republic Commando or something) or a bigger themed one like Battlefield or SW: Battlefront. Less of the "run out and mow everything down mostly by yourself but with some useless AI allies" gameplay.
