All we know is that it's an FPS, we simply assume it's a squad game since it involves a team of spartans.

Halo has become more well rounded, as in its not really a cult game anymore.
That's its problem.
The more things they introduce to the game, like the "battle rifle" (automatic sniper rifle) and the more things the change from the original Halo, (pistol and assault rifle) the more screwy and twisted the game play becomes, there's virtually only one way to become a high ranking officer in Halo 3, and that's just to use frag grenades and the battle rifle or sniper rifle to instakill everyone, Which is TOTALLY different from the original unfortunately.
Halo has been become combat devolved, as Halo Wars has shown, the only really really good one was the first I think. Three was good, but the only way Reach could be spot on if it were to revive the old Halo game play in some way, and stick to the concept of millions of alien invaders all attacking a handful of Spartans at once.

yeah, Halo CE was probably the most fair, balanced online experience.
Multiplayer is definitely not the same all three games, now, it takes 5 shots from the assault rifle and a "lunge" melee to kill someone. You used to have shielding, that did something, and duel wielding weapons?

It was perfectly balanced. EVERYONE starts with the pistol, so no one has an advatage.

and I think your radar range was greater, I mean in Halo 3, you have to check it every one second just because it has a range of 30 ft is seems.

I would say that a different sort of gameplay is needed now, based on Marines or ODSTs.
The Halo:CE multi wasn't perfect. The pistol was overused and then overnixed in Halo 2. And everybody scrambled for the Scorpion, until Halo PC, where the Banshees had fuel rod cannons.
Take out the pistol, and you would have had a lot more variety, with people opting for the assault rifle, shotgun, and plasma rifle a lot more.

Well if he "added" 0 then I do believe the pistol's power would remain unchanged for the time being.
