Wikipedia can be edited.

H1N1 is a type of viral strain, not a single strain that is multiple animals.

The media couldn't accurately portray science if they tried.

Wikipedia can be edited... Exactly. And according to statistics most pages are fixed almost every 5 minutes. So completely trust it's accuracy.

I remember that. But you think they are lieing about the Swine Flu thing?

According to the CDC:

The H# and the N# refer to proteins that the flu virus uses to enter and exit the host cell, thus giving classification to the hundreds of strains out there. It just so happens that both H5N1 and H1N1 are carried by birds and incredibly effective on human cells, thus "bird flu." To save the world from confusion, they just named H1N1 "swine flu."

Also of interest is that scientists believe the Spanish flu of '50s was spawned in a big camp filled with people, birds, and pigs.

H1N1 is blown way out of proportion imo. Sure some people have died from it, but frankly I'm more scared of the vaccine than I am of the actual virus.

I agree w/ AJ. I mean, there have only been 193 CONFIRMED deaths in the U.S. But still, our loving media *cough*CNN*cough* has blown it out of proportion and the place declared it a "Global Pandemic"...

Also, I love the media for this very purpose. 3 weeks out of school like Christmas. And if one kid at our school gets it. We got a straight shot toward Halloween. Which is on FRIDAY. I love Halloweens' on Friday!!!

I already got a costume that Seath loves and is dying to get is hands on.
