Just curious. I'm not very technical with WMDs... or any weapon other than a rcok for that matter...

OK, so let's assume a fifty-mile wide fireball.

Now, let's add the MASSIVE EMP that will fry every computer withing a thousand miles that isn't buried beneath five feet of lead. Hell, people will die from their pacemaker exploding, not quitting.

As you know, Seattle is on the west coast. Near fault lines. I can guarantee you that we can take out San Francisco and all those nasty little mudholes.

Next, the pressure wave will spread much further than the fireball, and due to atmospheric refraction, there would be concentration points where the damage will be comparable to the area at the edge of the fireball.

So, the damage would AT LEAST spread to Montana and California...
Not so sure about Montana, though, because of the Rocky Mountains.

Tsar bomba did not make a 38 mi. long/wide fireball, it was more like 5 mi.
The mushroom cloud was 25 mi. wide, and 40 mi. high.
And, they only have rumors of a 100 mt bomb, no confirmation. The tested tsar bomba had to be 50 mt because the 100 mt would cause massive amounts of nuclear fallout. The shock waves from the detonation spread 620 mi. in every direction. It is a really fucking big bomb.


The Tsar bomba, I don't think, can be be used as a weapon though. For obvious reasons.

Actually, the TSAR Bomba was SUPPOSED to be a 100 megaton. However, since most of the radioactive cloud would have spread over Russia, they decided to cut down on it to 50 megatons.

And since the whole thing could have fit onto a large ICBM...

Imagine, WII we could have stormed the beaches of Japan and most likely have gotten crushed. Instead we dropped 2 nukes, Little boy onto Hiroshima and big boy onto Nagasaki.
I thought what we should have done, was to use one for a test (which we did). Go "OMFG we have to show Japan this". Take the second, show Japan the explosive power, and watch them dropped to their knees and suck our big American dicks. Unless of course they don't give up. In that case we use the third nuke and bomb the capital.

czar you do realize that we dropped a bomb they didnt surrender then we dropped another and then we said we had more

the two we dropped didnt make them surrender it was the threat of more
