Re: Tabletop games
Further notes for character creation:
-We will be using a 15-point buy for determining ability scores. Click on the link and search for "Ability Score Calculator"
-Characters will start off at level 1. I do not yet know whether we'll determine advancement by XP or DM Fiat.
-As a second reminder, Core Rulebook races and classes only. Someday, you may rock out as a Tiefling Gunslinger, but this is not that day.
-Please send me character sheets by Sunday. You may send them ahead of time and ask for help if you're stuck. This website has a PM feature, and we'll use it until I make a thread over at the Paizo messageboards.
-This is going to be a learning experience for me just as much as it is for... erm, most of you, really. Feel free to run wild, go nuts, just don't make it adversarial.
Finally, a note on character creation. The starting point and the hub of the story will be a little town on the coast named Sandpoint. That is, the city is named Sandpoint, I've no idea on what the coast is called. Try to make your character a local; maybe your ranger is a woodsman who works for the constabulary, maybe your cleric recently arrived to assist with the consecrating of the new temple, perhaps your rogue is a bouncer for the local tavern on the lookout for a better life.
If you have any questions about integrating your character, PM me.
Right now, we got Mr.Inferior of the two Admins, Rotaretilbo, Tylertlat, Lord Pheonix, and maybe Lax. I think that's all I can handle; I'm not going to run two simultaneous campaigns.

Re: Tabletop games
For future reference, I've found that the coast is simply called "The Lost Coast". Not sure if that'll be important.

Re: Tabletop games
Further answers to questions (And I'm more likely to see questions if they're posted here than on Skype, folks.)
-We're going to be running this on the Paizo messageboards for a number of reasons. The first is linked Discussion/Gameplay/Campaign Info pages. The second reason is that you can post under aliases, which makes it easier to stay in-character (IMHO). The third is that there's a number of features built around PbP games, including an integrated and rather nifty random number generator. On Sunday, I'll post a link to the recruitment page where we all get together and hobnob and become acquainted with the forum. Tuesday is the day we start the campaign proper.
-Alternate racial traits and archetypes are verboten for now. If you really want an alternate racial trait or a bonus feat, talk to me in Skype and we can arrange a sidequest to earn it.
-You can pick up an additional trait from the Rise of the Runelord's Player's Guide available for free here. In fact, I recommend you read through it anyway to prepare for the campaign.
-We start at level 1, and you all should be at level 3 by the end of the chapter.
-Starting gear: You can assume you have 3/4 of your starting wealth (Mentioned on the Paizo webpage with all the other info about your class) and buy gear before the campaign starts. Or you can wait until Sunday, roll for wealth (I.E.: 5d6x10 GP= (6+2+6+4+5)*10 GP = 230 GP) and invest that in gear. Don't sink it all into weapons and armor.
-Magic: This will be a medium-magic campaign. Magic items will be available, but they won't fall off trees. Fall off the back of an oxcart, maybe.
-Character sheets: You can download one from Paizo's site and fill it in, or you can do it manually the way I did it here. I'd prefer the second option, because then we'd be working off the same document. Again, if you need help assembling or formatting your character sheet, give me a ring. I'm available in the mornings and lat at night, ~midnight Pacific Standard Time.

Umm... Four players is much more manageable than five?
I'm sorry to hear that Mr.Inferior of the two Admins. Perhaps another time?

Just got my character sheet done. Where do I email it to?
Edit: Nevermind, it refused to save for some reason. I'll just make the character alias.
Edit: Oh that's fun. Clicking "preview takes me to the homepage and losses all my work
Edit: Eff it. I have gremlins in my connection. I'll make my character tommorow morning.

Re: Tabletop games
We found another fourth player already. If it was test week and you couldn't get your character sheet made, you should have at least told me.laxspartan007 wrote:its test week sooooo, ya, busy, will play tho
Simply saying "Calm your tits" tells me nothing, and leads me to believe that you're procrastinating.
